Holy Belfry, Batman! Rabid bat found in Rosedale. (The Bakersfield Californian)

A bat infected with rabies has been found in the Rosedale area, an area bordered by Calloway Drive, Brimhall Road, Jewetta Avenue and Rosedale Highway, the Kern County Department of Public Health reported Wednesday. Officials said there is no cause for alarm, but emphasized the importance of avoiding contact with bats. Animal Control should be notified if you find a bat in your home or yard.
