Dark Knight Returns: SUPERMAN ACTION FIGURE measures approximately 7 3/8″ tall, features multiple points of articulation and comes with a crushed Bat-armor helmet and a Kryptonite arrow. This figure also includes a sidewalk base and comes packaged in a 4-color window box.

3 Stars Another good figure which could’ve been better!
As a toy doctor, I’ve been touching up toys for these past few years. Bought a lot of Action Figures that really met my standards yet there are a few that had to be redone. One of them is Supergirl (DC Direct’s Women of the DC Universe) and fortunately enough, the other is SUPERMAN! What a pair!
Now for the review. The figure’s sculpting is excellent but the paint job is really bad! First, his cape is coated with enamel paint. Sticky, gooey enamel paint! When it comes into contact with the fig the cape leaves a stain! If the cape comes into contact long enough with other figures, the enamel paint peels off! I had to stabilize the paint for it to behave properly. Then, the Figure itself is painted without shading, just plain flat painting (reminds me of old cel animation). Finally, there were the production seams on his crotch, buttocks, sides and cape (I had to remedy that too! A little sand paper goes a long way). After weeks of experimentation I did manage to match my figure’s painting with one on the box. After all those modifications, I was smiling proud. I’m done!

5 Stars Accurate “Dark Knight Returns” Superman Figure
I found this figure to be a quite accurate representation of Superman as depicted in “The Dark Knight Returns” comic book series. The figure is one of the more high-quality action figures I’ve seen. It is well-sculpted and well-painted; and, unlike the first reviewer’s figure, there are no paint problems at all with the figure I received. The fierce expression and rugged facial features on this figure, moreover, are quite striking. I consider this figure a worthy addition to any Superman or action-figure collection; and an item that anyone who enjoyed “The Dark Knight Returns” comic series would certainly like to have.
